Once you’re through with your vacation and you’ve arrived home, you know that you’ve got a daunting task to complete: cleaning out your recreational camper. However, it doesn’t have to be too hard! In fact, if you rope the whole family in to help, you can probably get the job done in an afternoon. Here are some things to focus on inside the RV.

1. Wash Dishes & Wipe Down Kitchen

The kitchen is probably somewhat dirty after your vacation, so start here by making sure all the dishes are washed (it might be easier to bring them into your house and run them through the dishwasher) and put away. Straighten up your cabinets and remove all perishable food from the fridge. Wipe down the interior of the fridge as well as the countertops, stove, and sink.

2. Start Laundry

You’re undoubtedly going to have a lot of laundry to do when you come home as well. Have everyone help out by stripping beds of their sheets and bringing in all the dirty clothes and towels to sort and wash. Put the beds back together and restock the linen closet with towels.

3. Sweep, Mop & Vacuum Floors

A thorough floor cleaning is also in order! Sweep all the hard floors clean and mop them, leaving the doors open to let them air-dry. Vacuum your carpeting. Now is also a nice time to spray some air-freshener and open the windows to let the camper air out.
